This year I decided to spice up my classroom with a little polka dot pizazz! I love it! I changed my book box labels, alphabet strip, borders, and anything else I could make polka dot without going over the top (I hope I succeeded in that!). My favorite addition to my classroom, which also added the most impact, was the lining the back of my bookshelves - it's my book back splash! Knowing that I wanted black and white polka dots, I pondered over how I could make it work. Finally, the brilliant idea of WRAPPING PAPER came to mind. I remember fighting with the wrapping paper - and the tape (being in a new building, I am hesitant to hot glue anything...yet), but it was all worth it in the end.
One of my coworkers came into my room and about died when she saw my cardigan up against the bookshelves. Of course, we had to take a picture!
